How Much Time Is Involved In Decorating A Room?

Interior Design TV shows make decorating a room look so super easy. Within an hour, a HGTV designer has knocked down walls, gone shopping, selected merchandise or materials and designed an entire room.

Between the commercials the chosen items show up and the contractors get to work installing, painting, moving around furniture and adding final touches. Looks easy enough for anyone to tackle on their own right? Wrong!

Folks, although they call it reality TV, this isn’t “reality”. These shows are meant to only inspire homeowners to update and renovate their own home. The reality is… that there is much time involved in decorating. How much time is involved? LOTS! Is it worth hiring a professional designer to avoid making costly mistakes? You bet! Getting a professional’s view will bring fresh ideas that you may not have considered. We can be your front line when items come in damaged or back ordered. We can help you avoid choosing wrong colors purchasing wrong sized items…..the list goes on. It’s all in a day’s work for us.

I stumbled upon this fantastic blog from Lumar Interiors that gives detailed information on how much time is spent on a decorating project. I just had to share, I couldn’t have said it any better! Read on
